First of all, the title is inaccurate. This post is about how to install Qt 4.3 with visual studio 2008 Express edition (Visual c++ 9.0). The express edition of visual studio is a free and limited edition by Microsoft. Yeah… it came as a surprise to me too. Microsoft goes… open source?

Microsoft LogoSo a few days ago, I came across some very “troubling” news, saying that Microsoft, really goes open source. I read it first on Cnet news and I couldn’t believe it, so I Googled it, only to find out thousands of articles with the same subject… So I read as many as I could. I remember hearing many times, that Microsoft will go open source, or make open source projects, or support the open source movement etc… But, I’ve never heard before that all of Micosoft’s APIs and protocols will be made open source.
